The Worlds’ Reefs are at a crisis point. Global warming, agricultural run off and overfishing have destroyed at least 10% of Earths’ coral reefs. With growing concern about long term damage to natural coral reefs in Australia, and around the world, there has been more and more demand for Aquacultured Coral. CoralKingdom formed to help fulfill that demand.

Aquaculture aims to relieve the stress on the natural environment and is seen by many to be the environmentally friendly future for the coral reef aquarium hobbyist. We source many species through other captive breeding facilities in an effort to protect the natural reefs and hopefully to preserve species forever through captive efforts. Broodstock have also been sourced through responsible licensed collectors such as Monsoon Aquatics.

By providing captive raised corals, we are striving to ensure hobbyists can enjoy reef aquariums for generations to come.

Coral Kingdom can supply the reef enthusiast with all of your Reef Aquarium needs. We strive to provide to our customers, the complete range of products necessary to ensure a successful Reef Aquarium.

Coral Reefs are the oldest, most complex ecosystems on earth and are home to over 25 percent of all marine life. They are also among the world's most fragile and endangered ecosystems and have existed for well over 200 million of years. Many scientists now believe that Coral Reefs may disapear by 2050. Corals are very sensitive to changes in water quality and temperature. Rapid changes in water conditions cause corals to become stressed. They then expel their symbiotic algae, known as zooxanthellae, which give the coral its’ colour and provide them with essential nutrients. With no colour, the white of the limestone shell shines through the transparent coral bodies. If the zooxanthellae do not return, the corals will die. The collapse of the reefs removes food and shelter for a large and diverse amount of marine life. The Reef then becomes a “desert” and can be totally void of life.
