Packing Your Order
We are dedicated to making your package safe for shipping. We use the appropriate size box for your order. If there is extra free space we fill it with newspaper and/or styrofoam to lock everything in place and prevent damage.
We begin packaging livestock in the late afternoon. This lets us leave your livestock in the water for a few extra hours and we believe the less stress the animals have the healthier they will be for you on arrival.
We use double bags on all our livestock. Most corals are packed using the “dry method”. We wrap the coral in two layers of wet paper and then bag it with a small amount of water. This cuts down on weight, but is also the best method for shipping most species of coral. For some species, we will pack corals in an oxygenated double bag with water. Our corals are shipped in Styrofoam eskys which you can later re-use. (great for BBQ’s!!) We package your corals carefully to ensure that your corals arrive alive!!! If nesessary, Heat Packs are now available and , if requested, can be included with shipments at a cost of $4.00 per box.
Arrival Survival Guarantee
All livestock is guaranteed to arrive alive. You must be available to receive the items and acclimate them to your system on the day of delivery. If you are not home or plan on acclimating them later that is fine, but that is at your own risk.
If you get livestock that you think is dead or close to it, acclimate the livestock like normal. Livestock must be acclimated according to our Acclimation Procedures, even if they appear to be lifeless. Many times, specimens that look dead will frequently recover within minutes when acclimated.
If your new livestock dies within 12 hours or does not arrive alive, we will give you a credit for the animal with your next livestock order .
Please notify us within 12 hours of arrival by email to be eligible for credit of your livestock. A DIGITAL PHOTO IS REQUIRED WITHIN 12 HOURS of acceptance of shipment and we may ask you to ship the DOA specimen return via priority mail and will credit your account with us.
We will not cover shipping charges and shipping charges will not be credited back to your account. Please contact us immediately if you have questions or concerns about your order. We will do our best to get back with you as early as possible!
Store credits must be may only be redeemed with livestock. You do not have to reorder the same item. Credits are good for 6 months from the delivery date of the livestock as orders over six months cannot be accessed.
We are NOT responsible for late delivery due to AusPost delays.
All orders received will be processed by the next working day where possible. We will strive to answer any queries by the next working day wherever possible. If for any reason you are unsatisfied by the way your order has been handled, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
